From Snapshot to Soul: Transforming March, Cambridgeshire into Digital Art

Tie-Dye Magic – Today’s Creations!

For this tie-dye project, I experimented with three different folding techniques: one was neatly folded, another scrunched up, and the third twisted into a spiral. Each method gave the fabric a unique look, and I love how they all turned out! My favourite piece is the top with blue, pink, and white—it came out beautifully, and I’m really happy with the result.

"Mumma's Heart: A Resin Tribute to a Mother's Love" 💞

In this deeply personal piece, I share the creation of a resin heart encapsulating my mum's ashes and hair. Initially, the dark tones didn't capture the essence I desired. Inspired by her love for pink, I adorned it with pink nail varnish and gold foil to celebrate her vibrant spirit and elegance. This heartfelt tribute serves as a lasting symbol of her presence and the enduring bond we share.

I used to transfer paint, pink, purple, and blue and sponged it on a large card.

using the same process of using transfer paint but in green, I painted the leaves on the side of the veins of the leaves.

I first picked some wonderful leaves and used heat Transfer paint to cover the leaves in a green colour.

I used heat transfer paint, I then began to dab pink transfer paint onto the card
I used purple and blue transfer paint, to create more colour.

I placed the printed leaves on top of the fabric, 

I then laid the painted card on top of this, and pressed down the heat press, once hot enough, ready to print.

I used Lilly leaf templates, that I cut out in cards and painted blue and green using transfer paints, and used a heat press to create my design.

🕯️ Cinderella (Grimm Brothers, 1812)

After her mother dies, a devout young girl named Cinderella prays every day at her grave beneath a hazel tree in the forest. Her father remarries a cruel woman with two daughters who mock Cinderella, dress her in rags, and force her to sleep in the ashes by the hearth.

When the king announces a three-day royal festival to find a bride for the prince, Cinderella begs to attend. Her stepmother agrees—on the condition that she completes impossible tasks. With help from magical birds at her mother’s grave, she finishes them all.

The birds reward her with a gown spun of silver and gold, and golden slippers.

Each night, Cinderella dances with the prince, leaving before he learns her name. On the third night, the prince lays pitch on the palace steps and her golden slipper sticks.

He travels the kingdom, searching for the maiden it fits. The stepsisters, desperate, cut off parts of their feet—one her toe, the other her heel—to try to deceive him. But the birds cry out the truth, and blood betray their lies.

At last, Cinderella tries on the slipper. It fits, and the prince knows she is his true bride.

At the wedding, doves peck out the stepsisters’ eyes as punishment for their cruelty.

Thus, Cinderella rose from ashes to crown—by patience, sorrow, and justice.

I printed this fabric using transfer paint and laid it underneath templates of a peace bird.
These Skirts reflect a fairy-tale in the dark wood theme.
